Alabama State Parks is proud to host the 2024 National Association of State Park Directors Conference at Gulf State Park in the scenic Gulf Shores of Alabama. The event will showcase the Alabama State Park system while providing networking opportunities for state, federal, and Canadian park leaders, our valued exhibitors and sponsors, and the related non-profit organizations that support the conservation and recreation industry.
Gulf State Park has 6,150 acres with over 2 miles of sugar-white beaches. There are 496 modern campsites, 35 cabins/cottages (31 of which are on beautiful Lake Shelby, a 529-acre lake in the heart of the park), The Lodge a 350-room hotel, a state-of-the-art Learning Campus, a beach pavilion with snack bar, a 1,540 ft. fishing pier with a restaurant, picnic areas, group pavilions and nature programs. Also offered are walking, hiking, and biking trails. Gulf State Park also has a swimming pool and splash pad (camping and cabin guests only) a camp store and laundry facility, plus a nature center located in the campground, and more!
