The Great American Outdoors Act: The impact on America’s State Parks

Considered the most significant land conservation legislation in a generation, the Great American Outdoors Act has two major impacts on America’s Parks. First, it establishes a National Park and Public Lands Legacy Restoration Fund that will provide up to $9 billion over the next five years to fix deferred maintenance at national parks and other federal lands. Second, and most important for America’s State Parks, the Act guarantees $900 million per year in perpetuity for the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF). What does this groundbreaking legislation mean for America’s State Parks? Join us for the NASPD Webinar on Wednesday, October 20th, at 2 p.m. EST, where we will discuss the specifics of the LWCF changes and break down what it means for your state’s park system.
