Just a note to let you know that I will be retiring as Chief of West Virginia State Parks and Recreation on May 31. I have been a lifer with our system, starting as a summer naturalist in 1986, and have held many leadership roles over the years including Park Ranger, Park Superintendent, District Manager, Deputy Chief, and Chief. I was stationed at 8 different state parks along the way.
It has been the honor of my life to serve as steward to West Virginia's incredible state park system, as a leader to our amazing and dedicated park staff, and in service to our state, communities, and citizenry. My immediate plans are to enjoy a summer of camping with my wife, then to once again return to service with WVDNR as a trainer and to work on various special projects.
Hope you are well.
Bradley R. Reed, Sr. Chief, West Virginia State Parks and Recreation
