NASPD 2021 will be held at the lovely Seven Springs Mountain Resort, an ideal central location to explore Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands region featuring eight state parks, one state forest, multiple National Park Service sites, and other protected lands.
Onsite, enjoy breathtaking mountain views, the adrenaline rush of the ziplines, the exhilaration of sporting clays, the stunning beauty of the mountaintop golf course, the ultimate in relaxation at the luxurious Trillium Spa, plus so much more.
The resort also offers amazing dining options that range from the fresh and unique creations at Helen’s Restaurant to the variety of delicious buffets offered at the Slopeside Dining Room and quick-fix options like pizza and sandwiches, sure to satisfy any craving.
Complimentary wireless internet is available in all guest rooms and meeting spaces.
All rooms are subject to an 11% tax rate which is current but subject to change.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM. Check out is 11:00 AM. A $50.00 surcharge will be added on late checkouts.
Individuals may place reservations within the group block via telephone (800-452-2223 or 814-352-7777 ext. 7009), fax (814-352-2010), or reservation form. Individuals must identify themselves as being part of NASPD to obtain the lodging rate extended to the group. A deposit of one night’s lodging per room will be requested to confirm individual reservations. A full deposit refund will be made on an individual reservation made within the block if cancelled a minimum of seven (7) days prior to arrival. Reservations by attendees must be received by August 5, 2021.
Seven Springs Mountain Resort is located approximately one hour’s drive southeast of Pittsburgh, Pa. It lies within 200 miles of Washington D.C., Baltimore, Md., Cleveland, and Columbus, Ohio, and is easily accessible off the Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-76 from exits 91 (Donegal) and 110 (Somerset).
The closest metropolitan airport, Pittsburgh International (PIT), is a nearly 1.5-hour drive from the resort. Driving distance to the private Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (LBE) in Latrobe, Pa., is around 40 minutes.
Both the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (LBE) offer car rental services. Note that the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport refers to this service as a “Car Hire.”
PA DCNR State Parks will offer airport shuttles for participants on September 7, 8, 11, and 12 from and/or to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport (LBE). Organizers will contact all participants closer to the conference to confirm airport shuttle needs.
