The Deputy Director of NC State Parks provides direction and leadership to the NC state parks system and operations. Responsibilities include statewide management of all lands and waters administered by the Division of Parks and Recreation to include parks, recreation areas, trails, rivers, lakes and natural areas. This position reports to the Director of NC State Parks.
The ideal candidate will ensure success of the Division by overseeing the Park’s plan for short- and long-term objectives and goals, ensuring positive visitor experience, managing budgetary resources and providing effective public relations with state and local officials, stakeholders, businesses and local communities.
